Worship

Here at The Church of St. Michael & St. George, we experience the glory of God through worship, an experience central to parish life. Led by our Rector of fifteen years, the Rev. Andrew John Archie, The Church of St. Michael & St. George offers a wide variety of opportunities for worship. Morning and Evening Prayer liturgies occur Monday through Saturday, and the Holy Eucharist is celebrated every day of the week except Saturday. On Sundays, we offer three morning liturgies and one evening liturgy. We hope that you will join us at one of our many services!

Music

Our Church has a long-held tradition and reputation of creating beautiful, powerful music. Our organist and choirmaster, Dr. Robert Lehman, is a world-class talent, and people from within and outside our Church community believe that CSMSG’s choir is one of the finest. Hearing our choir and music each week, during remarkable Evensong liturgies, and on special days and particular seasons, is both a joy and an inspiration for all those who gather together at CSMSG.

Outreach Ministries

Here at CSMSG, we believe that every parishioner is a minister. How? Through the sacrament of Baptism! Ministry is both our Christian obligation and fulfillment. It is our hope that each member of our parish will become involved in one or more of our ministries that serve individuals both within the parish and in the larger St. Louis area community. Whether it’s our annual World Service Ministry trip to Nicaragua, making sandwiches for the homeless, knitting a blanket for a housebound parishioner, or any of the many other ways to live Christ’s life in the world, the Outreach Ministry volunteers at The Church of St. Michael & St. George are engaged in this work and would love to have you involved! CONNECT!

Education and Formation

As Christians, it is our commitment to come to resemble Jesus more and more each day. One way we work toward this goal is through the practice of holy habits and saintly skills. Living into our baptismal identity as Christians is a lifelong process, so CSMSG offers a wide variety of opportunities for education and formation, including: Bible Studies, various special classes, as well as other programs and events for parishioners of all ages. Folks at CSMSG are always in the process of learning and growing together. In addition to educational opportunities available at CSMSG, our Church houses an elementary school during the school year, The St. Michael School of Clayton. The St. Michael School of Clayton is an Episcopalian day school that teaches to all faiths and learning styles, shaping our students into self-assured, learned, and capable leaders (see full description below). If you would like to join us on this spiritual and fulfilling learning journey, please email Laurie Brown or call her at 314.721.1502.

The St. Michael School of Clayton

Our Church houses The St. Michael School of Clayton (SMSOC), an Episcopalian school that teaches to all faiths and learning styles, in addition to shaping our students into self-assured, learned, and capable leaders. Many parishioners choose to send their children to the St. Michael School of Clayton; however, many non-parishioners have chosen SMSOC for their children’s education as well. Together, we are creating an exciting and diverse student body as well as a very creative educational approach to developing life-long learners! The St. Michael School of Clayton
