The St. Michael School of Clayton

The Church of St. Michael & St. George houses The St. Michael School of Clayton (SMSOC), an exceptional elementary school for children age three-years-old to 8th graders. While many CSMSG parishioners send their children to The St. Michael School of Clayton, many SMSOC students come from families who are not Church parishioners. The result is an exciting and diverse group of students and a school with a very creative approach to developing life-long learners!

A Reggio-Inspired School

Our School is a collaborative environment that cultivates a diverse student population, an innovative faculty, and meaningful partnerships with parents. The St. Michael School of Clayton features daily Spanish and Physical Education classes for all students. We teach to all faiths and the individual student. We provide a progressive education informed by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy with a focus on honoring each student’s individual learning process.

Vision Statement

The St. Michael School of Clayton supports each child in developing character, independence, strong academic skills, and intellectual curiosity, which will result in thinkers who listen, inquirers who negotiate, inventors who collaborate, and individuals who believe in themselves.

Mission Statement

The St. Michael School of Clayton is an Episcopalian day school that teaches to all faiths and learning styles, shaping students into self-assured, learned, and capable leaders.
