Christian Formation

It’s been said that the Episcopal Church is “come as you are.” That is true, but it is not a “stay as you are” church. The deepening of our lives in Christ implies an ongoing transformation. This transformation can happen in everything we do, including worship, prayer, study, and service. The courses listed below will assist you as you continue your journey. The sessions are designed to be E.P.I.C. (Experiential, Participatory, Image-rich, and Connective) and minister to the whole person, Body, Mind and Spirit. There are no pre-requisites for any course.

Adult Confirmation & Reception Event

If you have recently (or even not-so-recently) come into the Episcopal
Church and would like to be confirmed (if you have not yet been) or received
(have already been confirmed in another denomination), please contact Heidi
at heidi@csmsg.org or 314.721.1502#311 for more information.

The Rector’s Forum

The Rector's Forum with The Rev. Andrew J. Archie
Sundays: 10:30 a.m. – 11:05 a.m., - Taylor Room
The Rector’s Forum is held in the Taylor Room every Sunday, from October through May. The Rector teaches from a book of the New Testament, while addressing topics of the Christian life. Currently, the class is finishing the Gospel of Luke.

The Faith & Life Forum, led by John Tyler, meets each Sunday at 10:30–11:05 AM in the Sverdrup Room, October through May. No prior Bible experience is necessary. This user-friendly forum offers a comfortable environment where we all learn and think together about how our Christian faith intersects with our lives on a wide variety of topics. All are welcome to attend any or all of the Sunday sessions throughout the year.

Ongoing Bible Studies:

We have several ongoing Bible studies that meet during the week. Please contact the following clergy for more specific information about each group:

Wednesday Night Youth Bible Study at 6:00 p.m.
Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m. – The Rev. Mike Wheeler
