Connecting
“I am the vine, you are the branches.”
- Jesus
Human beings long for connection. But the connections the world offers are based on superficial, transient things: common interests, mutual enemies, or a particular cause du jour. In the Church, we are connected to Jesus. We are interdependent branches grafted into the life-giving True Vine. Since we draw our life and our identity from Jesus, we learn to love the things Jesus loves: one another, our neighbors, our enemies, our world.
The Sant Scholarship
The Sant Scholarship was established by the Church Service League as a memorial to the Rev. John F. Sant to benefit deserving seminarians. Applicants must be enrolled in a theological seminary with the intention of taking holy orders.
