Name of Ministry: Hunger Ministry of the Church of St. Michael & St. George
Meetings: Third Saturday of each month in the Taylor Room and Kitchen of The Church of St. Michael & St. George. Committee meets at 9:30 a.m. Sandwich Makers meet at 10:00 a.m.

Description: Volunteers meet once each month at the church to make sandwiches and casseroles to be distributed thorough the food pantry at the Gateway Homeless Services. Food is collected and distributed monthly to the Trinity Food Pantry of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Pledges amounting to $20,000 annually are paid to Ascension Food Pantry, All Saints Food Pantry, Trinity Food Pantry,Holy Cross Food Pantry and the Cathedral Breakfasts.The pledged funds are raised through $oup Sale in Feb, Trivia Night held in the spring and Ingathering held twice each year.
Casseroles ‘R’ Us
Did you know that one casserole feeds a family of four for two days? Pick up your casserole pan and lid near the receptionist’s desk at the church, make the casserole and return it to the church freezer. This need is increasing every day. Put a group together and come to church and assemble the casseroles or have a cookin' party in your own kitchen . Here are a selection of casserole recipes that can be used or you may have favorite of your own to make. All are appreciated. Call Becky Zacarrello 721-4565 or Peggy Strelinger 721-1502 if you have any questions. The casseroles are delivered to local food pantries where they are distributed to families in need.
