Spiritual Formation

Sometimes called “the ministry of holy listening,” spiritual direction offers the participant an opportunity to be accompanied and guided on his/her journey toward God through confidential one on one meetings with a spiritual director. Nicki Gillis, a lay spiritual director, and the clergy are available to meet with individuals who are interested in exploring this personal approach to spiritual formation.

Annual Women’s Retreat

Each Lent There is a Women’s Retreat held at a nearby retreat center. The 2010 Retreat was called “When Women Build the Kingdom: Who We Are; What We Do; How We Relate”. The Retreat Leader was Leslie Williams, author, professor, mother and grandmother. She told stories of women’s spiritual experiences, from the sublime to the hilarious. Retreat participants were invited to contemplate their own spiritual experiences and share them in small groups.
