St. Michael's Tutors

Welcome! Located in St. Louis, in the close-in suburb of Clayton, we are a parish made alive in Christ and celebrating this life through the Anglican liturgy and sacraments with vibrant preaching and teaching, and beautiful, traditional music. Ours is a welcoming community and we're extremely family-friendly.

The parish family is a lively mix of lifelong Episcopalians and members raised in a number of other denominations and religious traditions. We hope that if you haven't done so already, you'll join us soon!

This exciting ministry at The Church of St. Michael & St. George works with students in the St. Louis City Public School system and makes a tangible difference in their lives, both today and in the years ahead.

Volunteers tutor students in basic reading and language skills through weekly one-on-one sessions of 30 to 45 minutes over three to eight months during the school year. In addition to benefiting the students it serves, this very personal ministry provides a compelling opportunity for spiritual growth through ongoing interaction with children and the adults who support them.

You don’t need a background in education to participate in this ministry, you simply need to care about kids.
