Stewardship

Welcome! Located in St. Louis, in the close-in suburb of Clayton, we are a parish made alive in Christ and celebrating this life through the Anglican liturgy and sacraments with vibrant preaching and teaching, and beautiful, traditional music. Ours is a welcoming community and we're extremely family-friendly.

The parish family is a lively mix of lifelong Episcopalians and members raised in a number of other denominations and religious traditions. We hope that if you haven't done so already, you'll join us soon!

The Church of St. Michael & St. George is committed to growth, both spiritual and financial.
We need to grow spiritually so that we may better reflect Christ in our daily lives. We need to grow numerically because others need Christ in their lives and because new members add life and vitality to our parish.

Growing both spiritually and numerically requires money to finance programs, people and the maintenance of our beautiful building. Please do all you can to make our growth possible. Make a generous pledge of time and money to our annual stewardship campaign.

Vestry Statement

The Clergy and Vestry of The Church of St. Michael & St. George affirm the
importance of stewardship to the spiritual health of the individual and the
parish, and acknowledge the tithe of ten percent of annual income as the
biblical standard of giving to God¹s work in the world.

As Clergy and Vestry members, we have been called to provide leadership to
this church. Accordingly, each member of the Clergy and Vestry commits that
our own pledge to this church will be the largest single annual gift we
make. If we are not currently tithing, then we further commit to a personal
program of significantly increased giving each year until we attain that
goal. The Clergy and Vestry invite each church member to join us in this
commitment.
