2018 Holy Week Preacher

The Rt. Rev. James Jones, KBE, was formerly the Bishop of Liverpool and is currently the Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of York. He was a member of the House of Lords speaking on criminal and restorative justice issues, the environment and urban regeneration. He has a particular interest in environmental issues. He founded Faiths4Change which brings together people of all faiths working on environmental projects. In 2017, the Queen appointed him a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire ‘For services to the bereaved and to justice’. His books include: Why Do People Suffer?, With my Whole Heart and Following Jesus. The Rt. Rev. Jones will be preaching on Palm Sunday, Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, and Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.
