About Us CSMSG

Welcome! Located in St. Louis, in the close-in suburb of Clayton, we are a parish made alive in Christ and celebrating this life through the Anglican liturgy and sacraments with vibrant preaching and teaching, and beautiful, traditional music. Ours is a welcoming community and we're extremely family-friendly.

The parish family is a lively mix of lifelong Episcopalians and members raised in a number of other denominations and religious traditions. We hope that if you haven't done so already, you'll join us soon!

About Us

WORSHIP

We experience the glory of God through worship and that experience is central to our life here at The Church of St. Michael & St. George. We are known far and wide for the beauty of our traditional Anglican liturgy. At the risk of sounding immodest, we believe that nobody does it better.

Led by our rector of ten years, the Rev. Andrew John Archie, ours is a church with many opportunities to worship. Morning and Evening Prayer liturgies happen Monday through Saturday and the Holy Eucharist is celebrated every day but Saturday. On Sundays, we have three morning liturgies and one evening liturgy. We hope that you will join us.

MUSIC

Our church has a long tradition of creating beautiful, powerful music. Our organist and choirmaster, Dr. Robert Lehman, is a world-class talent and many people, both within and outside of our church, believe that our choir is one of the finest. Hearing the choir each week, both during remarkable Evensong liturgies and during special days and seasons, is both a joy and an inspiration.

OUTREACH MINISTRIES

We believe that every parishioner is a minister. Why? Because we have been baptized! It's our obligation and our fulfillment. We hope to involve every member of the parish in one or more of our many ministries, both within and outside the parish. Whether it's our annual World Service Ministry trip to Nicaragua, making sandwiches for the homeless, knitting a blanket for a housebound parishioner, or any of a dozen other ways to live Christ's life in the world, the volunteers at The Church of St. Michael & St. George are engaged and want you to be, too!

Ministry/Volunteer Opportunities

EDUCATION / FORMATION

Our goal is to come to resemble Jesus more and more each day. One way we do this is through the practice of holy habits and saintly skills. Living into our baptismal identity is a lifelong process, so we offer a wide variety of opportunities for education and formation including Bible study, special classes, programs, and more for parishioners of all ages. We're always learning, always growing.
