Christi Bye
Christi John Bye is the Youth Choir Director at The Church of St. Michael & St. George. Prior to her arrival in St. Louis, she held a similar position directing the youth choir at St. John's Cathedral in Jacksonville, Florida. She has sung with some of the most distinguished choirs in the country, including the choir of St. George's Episcopal Church in Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked with the legendary Wilma Jensen. In addition to her choral work, she has worked as a studio musician with over thirty recordings to her credit and she is an active jazz vocalist. Christi Bye's formal musical study took place at Belmont University and at Gnesins Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia. She is certified to teach Choral Music K-12 and she received her Masters in Teaching from Lindenwood University in January 2011. A native of Kansas City, she is excited to return to her Missouri roots and share her love of music with our youth here at CSMSG.
