YOUR FIRST VISIT

Begin by visiting our welcome table in the Great Hall after Sunday morning services. A member of the parish will greet you and answer any questions you may have. Please sign our newcomer sheet on the table in the Great Hall so we may properly welcome you to our church. There are also guest books at both entrances to our church. After you sign, you’ll be contacted by a parishioner.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

If you’re already an Episcopalian, simply contact our parish office and provide us with the name of your previous church. We will do the rest. We will let you know when we have received your letter of transfer and at that time we’ll welcome you formally.

If you’ve been baptized, but not in an Episcopal Church, simply bring us a copy of your baptismal certificate or a letter from your former church that states when your baptism occurred and who baptized you. Confirmation preparation sessions occur in each year and are followed a few weeks later by your confirmation by the Bishop. If you’ve been confirmed in another church, you should know that we recognize confirmation from most other denominations. Therefore, if you’ve been previously confirmed, you will typically be received into the Episcopal Church.

If you have never been baptized, get ready for a life-changing celebration! Call the church office and make an appointment to meet with one of our priests who will lead you through the process that allows you to ask your deepest questions, to search for the answers and to be baptized.

For more information about becoming a member, contact Laurie Brown at 314.721.1502 or at laurie@csmsg.org.
