CSMSG is a high-energy church that offers many programs and activities. It’s a place where you can get connected and grow in your faith. What should I expect on my first visit?
First of all, expect a hearty welcome. When you arrive, a greeter will welcome you at the door and given a service leaflet to help you through the next hour in church. An usher will be happy to help you find a seat if you would like assistance.
Members of our welcome team (who wear white carnations or green ribbons for easy identification), as well as our users and greeters, are available to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to sign one of the guestbooks located at either Narthex and in the Great Hall after the liturgy to receive newcomer information.
All baptized persons are welcome to receive Communion at our altar. By parish custom, the bread is received in the palm of the hand and the wine is received either from the chalice or by intinction.
Childcare is available for very young children (infants and children up to three-years-old) in our Nursery located on the lower level of the Church. Follow the stairs next to St. George’s Chapel down to access the Nursery.
Church School is available for children enrolled in Preschool through the Fifth Grade. Signs located near the Wydown entrance direct the way to Church School classrooms, or feel free to ask the first friendly face you see for directions. Children enrolled in the Sixth through Twelfth Grades are encouraged to attend church with their families and then meet with other members of our Youth Ministry for fellowship discussion.

We hope to see you after the liturgy in our Great Hall for coffee and conversation. Look for the welcome sign, where a member of the parish will be eager to meet you and answer any questions you may have. We will provide you with a welcome packet containing information about our services, our ministries, and our community of faith.
