Organ Project Update
We are grateful to share continued progress on the organ project and the important work happening behind the scenes to prepare our space.
Since the removal of the old organ pipes, several key steps have been completed. During that process, we were able to identify and address previously unseen leaks, ensuring the long-term integrity of the building. The former organ chamber areas have been opened, with outdated structures removed, and the surrounding plaster repaired and painted in preparation for the new instrument.
As we move into the next phase, work will focus on strengthening and preparing the flooring to properly support the new organ. This includes structural improvements as well as refinishing the sanctuary floors. In addition, updates to our HVAC system will begin, including work in the lower level to accommodate new ductwork that will better serve the space.
We will also be addressing plaster repairs in the upper portions of the sanctuary and removing the side aisle carpeting, a recommendation that will enhance the acoustics and overall sound of the church.
As this work progresses, there may be occasional adjustments to worship locations or service flow. Any changes will be communicated through eblasts and announcements as needed.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we move forward with this transformative project.
