Capping the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill By Dr. Thomas Hunter
How do you ‘kill’ an oil well blowout when the wellhead is a mile under water? The Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010, is regarded as one of the largest environmental disasters in world history. Hear Dr. Tom Hunter tell how he helped stop the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Dr. Hunter retired as President and Laboratories Director of Sandia National Laboratories. Sandia is a national security laboratory for the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. Dr. Hunter joined Sandia in 1967 and became president in April 2005. Dr. Hunter served as the lead of the federal government’s scientific team that worked with BP officials to develop and analyze solutions to the BP oil spill.
Cost is $30 per person. This includes reception, dinner and program. Guests are welcome!
