It’s more than volunteering, it’s one way we can follow in the footsteps of Jesus and help God to realize what God wants to accomplish in this world and in our lives–something we can do practically within ourselves. –Presiding Bishop Michael Curry

Angels of Restoration
Join the Angels of Restoration as we restore and renew the church! We usually meet once a week for two hours and selection of work days is flexible. We have forged friendships as we have revived woodwork, floors, walls, pews and other visible areas of our church. There’s much more to do! All necessary materials and equipment are provided. If you have the skills or just an interest in learning renovation techniques, join us in enhancing and refreshing our church. Leading the “Angels” is Frankie Eichenberger at feichenberger@me.com.

Church Archives
Volunteers go through the archives of our greater than century-old church, preserving original materials and helping interested parties search for documents and photos. Anyone with an interest in saving historically significant materials is welcome. However, if you can identify people in pictures, recognize when and where events were held or know something about the history of The Church of St. Michael & St. George, you would be of great help. Contact Peggy Strelinger at mbstrelinger@gmail.com. to learn more.

Event Task Force

The church has many one-time volunteer opportunities! Can you help take some pressure off of the sextons who daily must keep the church and parish buildings prepared for meetings, maintain church equipment, and perform myriad other duties? Can you jump in and help set up and tear down for special events? Or handle other event-related duties? Download the volunteer pdf for more information. Leading this group is Debbie Fenner at debbie@csmsg.org.

Production

Do you have time to stuff, seal (by machine) or label envelopes or can you help with scanning paper documents so we can place them on our server? We also need help laminating materials for ministries so that documents can be used multiple times. Organization is also critical: Do you have project organization skills? We need help keeping supplies, documents, and tools organized. Volunteering with our Production group is very flexible. You can choose from a variety of options. We will work around your schedule. Leading this group is Debbie Fenner at debbie@csmsg.org.

Receiving Guests
Are you outgoing and willing to greet and meet folks? We need volunteers who are available to work at the reception desk for the church. This work includes answering the phone, sorting mail and directing visitors while the receptionist is away. Contact Debbie Fenner at debbie@csmsg.org or314.721.1502.
