CSMSG Youth Ministry

“…Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8

The Youth Ministry at The Church of St. Michael & St. George offers students in 6th Grade through 12th grade the opportunity to develop transforming relationships with God and each other. Our mission is to help our families grow in Christ, serve with Christ, and engage the world through faith. We live this out through our four pillars: belong, grow, serve, and go.

BELONG – YOU ARE WELCOME AND INVITED
We believe that every one of us belongs. We are called to be the family of God. In his love, God has gathered us into his family and made us his own. Now we are called to extend that same invitation to others. We aim to create an easy, welcoming environment where students can come and experience community and spiritual nourishment. We believe it is vital that each and every person find a place to plug in where they can connect relationally and grow spiritually. We offer several large events and weekly Sunday night youth group throughout the year to foster this sense of belonging and connection.

GROW – BEGIN TO OWN THEIR OWN SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We are dedicated to helping adolescents and teenagers form into mature believers and learn what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus. We desire to provide opportunities to experience relational connection, spiritual practices, rich teaching and challenging discussions, all of which are designed to foster spiritual growth. During the program year, we offer weekly opportunities for spiritual growth through 6/7th grade Sunday School, Confirmation classes, and high school small groups.

SERVE – BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS IN THE WORLD
From the words of Jesus in Mark 12: 30-31, we are called to both love God and love our neighbors. We all have something unique to contribute to our community, and serving our community is a way of living out our faith together. We aim to help our students understand that service is a part of the Christian life and provide opportunities throughout the year and during our summer Middle School Mission Week and High School Mission Trip programs.

GO – SEND THEM OUT INTO THE WORLD
At the end of each Sunday morning service, we are commissioned to “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.” This is our charge to take what we have been given (the vast love of Jesus) and share that love with those in our homes, our schools, and wherever life takes us.
