Servers and Vergers Guilds

The Servers’ Guild is composed of youth enrolled in the Sixth through Twelfth grades who serve as acolytes at worship services. The Vergers’ Guild is composed of adult parishioners who assist the clergy during services and train and supervise the Servers. Their service and commitment to this ministry contribute to the tradition of superior liturgy at CSMSG.

Ushers

Ushers serve on Sunday mornings by warmly welcoming parishioners, handing out service leaflets, passing alms basins, directing parishioners to Communion, restoring the pews to order following the liturgy, and counting the offering.

The St. Paul Guild of Readers and Chalice Bearers

Members of the St. Paul Guild of Readers and Chalice Bearers read the Daily Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer, a form of service that reaches back to the earliest days of the Anglican tradition.

Flower Guild

“Serve the Lord by adorning his table with flowers.”

Altar Guild

This ministry is dedicated to the service of God by lovingly preparing the altars. Many hands are needed, both weekdays and Sundays, to care for the linens, candles, and silver.
