The Adult Choir
The Choir of The Church of St. Michael & St. George sings the liturgies of the Holy Eucharist, Morning Prayer, and Evensong, as well as special seasonal services. CSMSG’s is a professional choir whose members are comprehensively auditioned. Led by internationally acclaimed organist and choirmaster Dr. Robert Lehman, the CSMSG Choir is widely recognized as one of the finest in the United States. The Choir is comprised of students from Washington University, Webster University, and other institutions of higher education, as well as professionals from the bi-state region of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The Choir sings Psalms (to both plainsong and Anglican Chant), settings of the Mass Ordinary, canticles, anthems, and motets drawn from all periods of music history while emphasizing music from The Church of St. Michael & St. George’s own rich Anglican heritage.

And Miriam sang to them, “Sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously!”
All women of the parish, aged 15 and up, are invited to join CSMSG’s newest choir, the Miriam Choir, directed by Assistant Choirmaster Katie Beyers. This is a volunteer choir that will sing repertoire for treble voices. The Miriam Choir will sing at the 10:00 AM Holy Eucharist one Sunday each month with a rehearsal scheduled for the preceding Wednesday evening.
Please join us for the joy of making music, a fulfilling spiritual experience, and a great community! Contact Katie Beyers at firstname.lastname@example.org for details and to sign up.
The Choristers program provides children ages eight years and older with an opportunity to play an important role in keeping music alive in the Anglican tradition. Children in the Choir enjoy learning musical skills, vocal skills, the Christian aspects of the music, and general rehearsal techniques. The Choristers rehearse and sing during the school year. Rehearsals are conducted on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, followed by dinner in the Great Hall. The Choristers sing at the 9:15 AM liturgy on scheduled Sundays (usually twice each month) and at special services. Church membership is not a requirement.
